Matt Krajniak graduated from Benedictine University 2004 with a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Economics. Matt worked for a local financial planning firm as Analyst until 2006 where he developed a passion for Financial Planning. Matt then joined Waddell and Reed in 2006 where he became Series 66 and Series 7 licensed. While building his practice Matt completed the required courses for his CFP® and passed the necessary exams and became a Certified Financial Planner™. A believer that education and knowledge provide value, Matt also became a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC). Matt steadily grew his practice for 10 years until he made the decision to leave a captive agency and become an Independent Financial Planner through Focus Financial and Royal Alliance.
Matt has dealt with these situations first hand with his family when there was no Financial Planning, no Retirement Accounts, no Savings, and no Plan for the what if moments. Because of his experiences, he understands the importance of getting your house in order to prepare for the what if moments. What if moments can be job loss, retirement, health issues, incapacitation, death, bankruptcy, long term care, and other planning issues.
When not in the office, Matt spends his time with his wife, Reese, or tinkering with classic British sports cars. Matt is currently the President of the Illinois Sports Owners Association (local Triumph Car Club) and is also a member of the Austin Healey Club of America. He currently owns a 1967 Triumph GT6 and is restoring a 1973 Triumph GT6 and a 1960 Austin Healey 3000. Matt also enjoys training his Border Collie, Healey, in Agility. He hopes to compete with Healey soon in local Dog Agility competitions.
